As there was already an existing b2/cafelog software they filled the void of the existing software. WordPress was designed to improve publishing efficiency. This allowed online users to create content without the use of code.
Purpose & Mission
It’s main purpose was to create an elegant, well architected personal publishing system. The original features where straightforward text based blogging. It allowed users to create post and categorize them and manage them easily. Their mission was to create an open source software. Making sure that it was accessible, secure and free for anyone to use.
